Mr Coşar is a lawyer in private practice in Ankara and is registered to Ankara Bar Association, for approximately thirty-five years. Prior to his appointment to the UTBA, he was the President of Ankara Bar Association from 2004 to 2010. He has been a lecturer at Bilkent University, since 1998 and Gazi University, Law School respectively. He is also amicus curiae in personnel injury, torts, and indemnity cases in Courts. From 2004 – 2006 he was the President of Blacksea Countries Bar Associations (BCBA). He is currently the President of BCBA upon his election on November 2009. President Coşar has many publications and papers.

His tenure as the President of the UTBA is three years.
